The Emerald City in june

 Seattle 6.22.10
University of Washington
University District
Sidecar for Pigs Peace (vegan grocer)
Pizza Pi (vegan pizzeria)
- Simple and tasty. 'Maximum Margherita' pizza hit the spot.

Brats German Gourmet Food
 - most authentic German food I've had yet in the states. Everything was excellent, white wurst, brotchen, pommes frites with paprika, pretzel, complete with curry ketchup and spicy mustard. Even the German lady that runs the place is very sweet.
Japanese Garden (Washington Arboretum)
Volunteer Park
Capitol Hill
Remedy Tea house
- 150 some odd teas. Atmosphere a little too modern and stiff for my taste, but friendly staff, plenty of tea to choose from and popular local hang out.
  B&O Espresso
- Great decor; like stepping in to a Lautrec painting. Parking is non existent. Miso tried the pastries;not anything to write home about.

Queen Anne Hill
Metropolitan Market
-Great selections of hard to find cheeses, beer, artisan bread, chocolates including the getting harder to find Cafe Tasse, Blanxart etc. Friendly cashier; unpretentious vibe.

Did you hear they're opening a currywurst restaurant in LA?
